Legend for survey Control markers

Hi Stephen, could you possibly look at putting a legend of the different markers on screen? Pretty much like Qld globe has.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for reaching out. There are a couple of ways to work with this at present.

  1. Through the support menu. Follow this path Profile Button > Support > Legends > Select your subject jurisdiction

  2. If there are marks that are grouped by a particular points styles that you only ever use you can define a filter that selects only these points. This filter option is located here filter > Details > Point Symbol

To answer you question, we do not have plans yet to add a legend to the main interface however one place I have consider to include it is within the layer selector. However there is no active development of this as a feature at present.

A refinement I will also look at is adding a label to the point symbol filter interface to give context to each style.

While I understand the function of a legend I would like to understand a bit better the context of the case that has prompted you to make this request. Are you able to elaborate?

I’ve made a poll so those who would like to have input on this feature can.

I will be making some mockups of each of these options and 1 I actually event have a working prototype now. This should give a better idea about each option described in the poll below.

  • Annotate Point Symbol Filter with contextual label
  • Add legend to layer selector view
  • Add dedicated legend view
